01
Before you start
- A ChatGPT plan that can add custom MCP servers: Plus or Pro, or a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace where your admin allows Create plugins with MCPs. The Free plan can’t add them.
- A Reelspan account with at least one connected social account. Sign in or create one.
02
Add Reelspan to ChatGPT
- Open chatgpt.com/plugins on the web, select +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it Reelspan. For the description, try “Uploads, schedules and checks social media posts”.
- Under Connection, choose Server URL and paste the address below.
- Set Authentication to OAuth. Leave any client ID and secret fields empty: ChatGPT registers itself.
- Read the risk notice, confirm, and choose Create as a plugin.

Sign in and allow
- ChatGPT opens Reelspan. Sign in with the Google account you use for Reelspan.
- Check the workspace on the consent screen, then select Allow ChatGPT.
- You land back in ChatGPT with Reelspan connected. Install it from your personal plugins if ChatGPT asks.
04
Use it in a chat
Start a new chat, type @ and pick Reelspan, then ask in plain words. Naming Reelspan in the request helps ChatGPT choose the right tool.
- “@Reelspan list my profiles and which platforms each one has connected.”
- “@Reelspan post this video to TikTok and YouTube tomorrow at 9am with a caption that fits each.”
- “@Reelspan how did yesterday’s post do on each platform?”
ChatGPT asks before every action that changes something, like posting or deleting. Check what it is about to send, then approve.
06
Update or disconnect
- New tools missing? Open Reelspan in ChatGPT’s app settings and refresh it. You can turn single tools on or off there too.
- Disconnect: remove Reelspan from ChatGPT’s app settings. Connecting again asks you to sign in and allow it once more.
- “Not authorized” or the wrong workspace? Disconnect, switch to the right workspace in the Reelspan dashboard, and connect again.
