What you can post to Dev.to
- Posts: text posts.
- Shapes: 16:9, 16:9 first.
- Article (Markdown): up to 100,000 characters.
- Title: up to 250 characters.
- Articles written in Markdown, published or saved as a draft.
- Set tags and a canonical URL when the article first ran elsewhere.

From the dashboard
- Connect your Dev.to account to a profile, with Dev.to’s own sign-in.
- Write the post once; the composer checks Dev.to’s limits and lets you change the text just for Dev.to.
- Post now, pick a time, add it to your queue, or repeat it every day, week or month.

One request posts to Dev.to, and to any other network you add with more platform[] fields:
